Pooja Shelke
REGIONAL EPIDEMIOLOGIST
Pooja is a licensed dentist from India with a master’s degree in public health, specializing in epidemiology from UMASS Lowell. Her previous practicum research project as a Public Health Intern at the Department of Public Health at UMASS Lowell involved analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify adverse health effects associated with occupational exposure to printing and photocopying machines. In her current role as a Regional Epidemiologist, Pooja provides epidemiological and analytical support, conducts disease surveillance, leads program planning, and offers evidence-based recommendations and data-driven solutions to nine municipalities in the MetroWest Shared Public Health Service area. She is fluent in Hindi and Marathi.
